31ST MAY - WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY 2006  
Every year, 31st May globally is observed as “World No Tobacco Day”. The main focus of this event is to create awareness about the ill-effects of tobacco.The theme for World No Tobacco Day 2006 is "Tobacco: Deadly in any form". To mark the occasion, CPAA's Prevention & Early detection team organised a cancer screening camp for the personnel and families of the Mumbai Police. This camp was inaugurated by actor Sunil Shetty and graced by many senior Police officials.

FORTHCOMING EVENTS 

ART CAMP
CPAA and Young FICCI Ladies Organisation (YFLO) are organising an art camp at the Renaissance Centre, Mumbai to raise funds. The camp is scheduled from 7-13th July, both days inclusive. Women artists from India and abroad will work on the theme of women from the Mahabharata at this camp.

During the camp, participants would create two works of approximate size 3'x3' and 2'x2'. The latter will be included in an art exhibition, "Colours of Life" being organised by Cancer Patients Aid Association at the Cymroza Art Gallery, Mumbai from 24th-31st July 2006. The larger work will be auctioned during a fashion show.

GHAZAL KHAZANA


Every year CPAA along-with the Parents Association Thallasemic Unit Trust(PATUT) spear-headed by noted ghazal singer Mr. Pankaj Udhas get together the country's finest ghazal singers to present "Ghazal Khazana". Ghazal Khazana is truly a treasure of talent where a wide spectrum of artistes like Nina and Rajinder Mehta, Mitalee and Bhupinder Singh, Ahmed and Mohammed Hussain, Talat Aziz, Penaz Masani, Anup Jalota and Pankaj Udhas himself perform. This 2-day concert will be held at at the Regal Room – Oberoi Hotels and Resorts, Mumbai  on 28th & 29th July 2006.
