Nana Chudasama, well known for his "I Love Mumbai" programmes aimed at cleaning and greening this great metropolis, has always been our supporter, right from inception. Now it is the turn of his daughter, designer Shaina NC, to show how much she cares for CPAA.

She conceptulised a unique show aptly titled - Women Achievers. For this show orchestrated by Hemant Trivedi, Shaina brought together 35 women achievers from various walks of life to showcase her beautiful creations for the benefit of CPAA through this show. Well known, successful women  - lawyers, teachers, actresses, auctioneers and entrepreneurs besides professional models gave of their precious time to walk the ramp in her exquisite designs.



April 2008 -  Hobby Ideas Women Achievers Show in aid of CPAA was held on 13th April 2008 at The Leela Kempinski, Mumbai. The show conceptualized by Shaina N.C. and choreographed by Hemant Trevedi saw 42 Achievers walk the ramp in support of CPAA. Actress Waheeda Rehman was the Chief Guest, Nana Chudasama, Rashmi Thackery, Vinod Tawade were other dignitaries who graced the occasion. The Women Achievers show was in association with the title sponsor Hobby Ideas and associate sponsors - Ramniklal and Sons (jewellery), The Leela Kempinski and Dr.Batra's Positive Health Clinic.

January 2007 -35 dynamic women walked the ramp yet again in Shaina NC originals at the "Women Achievers 2007" fashion show. Held at the Grand Intercontinental on the 14 January 2007, this event, choreographed by Hemant Trivedi saw successful woman from fields as varied as films, theatre, fashion, finance, law, business, medicine & health, walk the ramp with great élan ! Hundreds of cancer patients stand to benefit from the proceeds of the sale of these beautiful drapes by Shaina NC. 

Compeered by the effervescent actress Rakshanda Khan, the show saw beauty queens - Amruta Patki & Sayali Bhagat, actresses Neha Dhupia, Tara Sharma, Mona Singh, Divya Dutta, Shama Sikandar, Shilpa Saklani Agnihotri, Anupama Verma, Aarti Chabbaria, Delnaaz Paul, Dolly Thakore and many other prominent women. 

This show was sponsored by Hobby Ideas - India's first craft &  hobby store and co-sponsored by DTC, Asmi Diamond Jewellery, Canara Bank, InterContinental - The Grand, Mumbai and Red FM.


Several prominent citizens of Mumbai like Shri. Nana Chudasama, Shri Pankaj Udhas, Smt. Ila Arun, Shri. Piyush Pandey, Shri. Anil Dharkar etc.graced the event. 


 


September 2004 -  Women achievers from the medical fraternity, corporate world, films, TV, music & fashion sashayed down the ramp for yet another such show conceived and coordinated by the Queen of Drapes, Shaina NC on 11th September 2004 at the Hyatt Regency. Noted film actress Mrs. Jaya Bachchan was the chief guest at this event, sponsored by FEM Care Pharma and co-sponsored by TATA AIG.

April 2001 - Well known women achievers, poetess Imtiaz Dharker; theatre actress Lillette Dubey; auctioneer to the famous house of Christie’s Mallika Sagar; actresses Renuka Shahane and Kitu Gidwani; film-maker, Aruna Raje; professor at Bombay University, Nandini Sardesai; singer Rajeshwari Sachdev; textile painter Razia Husain, daughter of M.F. Husain, himself a friend of CPAA; Art of Living instructor, Rhea Pillai Dutt were some of the women who donned different hats to model for the benefit of CPAA. The programme was sponsored by Fem beauty products, whose Managing Director, Sunita Ramnatkar was one of the models of the evening. The event was hosted by The Regent Hotel. And to crown the occasion, everyone's favourite Dream Girl, Hema Malini not only acted as Chief Guest but actually modeled two of Shaina's outfits to thunderous applause from an appreciative audience. After two shows, the outfits were put on sale, the proceeds of which went to CPAA.

This show was followed by many more such successful shows at Delhi, Kolkotta & Bangalore.
