World No Tobacco Day 2008. 
Theme: Tobacco Free Youth

World No Tobacco Day is the only global event established to call attention to the impact of tobacco use on public health and reduce individual tobacco dependence.

We must realize that a spirit of worldwide cooperation is our best chance for stamping out tobacco related deaths and disease and working towards a tobacco-free world.

On this occasion CPAA has organized a skit/short play (3 to 5 minutes) competition for students from various colleges and groups across the city on 24.05.2008 at Taj Lands End (Bandra). Our aim through this event is to make the youth, parents and the community at large aware of the dangers associated with exposure to deadly tobacco products. We look forward to generating debate and initiating new ideas and creative solutions through medium of plays.

We invite you to fill in the attached application form providing a short outline of the idea behind the skit planned. The best selected applications will be given a chance to perform at the above-mentioned venue on 24.05.2008 in the presence of representatives from WHO and Indian Health Ministry and celebrity judges. The best three performers will receive an award. All short listed participants will be our special invitees at a musical concert. 

The skit to be presented in English/Hindi only. Each team should comprise of 3-5 members only and the duration should not be more than 3-5 minutes. Please register on/before 25.04.2008
