When 33 year old Anita Gaikwad, first discovered a swelling in her left cheek, it was left unattended since she was in the last trimester of her pregnancy. Post-delivery she was referred to Tata Memorial Hospital for further investigations by her local doctor. She was diagnosed with Squamous carcinoma and had by then even lost the ability to eat or speak properly due to the severe swelling. She is now under the care of Dr Sultan Pradhan at Prince Aly Khan Hospital. She has undergone the prescribed 3 chemotherapy sessions and awaits the recommended surgery. The entire cost of surgery is estimated to be Rs. 3,50,000.
Anita has 5 children, the youngest being 4 months old. Her husband has lost his job during the process of her treatment. Her widowed mother and he are trying very hard to garner funds for her surgery. Your helping hand can help them raise the requisite funds for her surgery and offer the chance of a healthy life to Anita, especially for the sake of her children.
41 year old Jagdish Upadhyay was diagnosed with AML (Acute Myloid Leukamia) in 2009. He is undergoing treatment under Dr. Reetu Jain at Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai. After two Allogeneic Bone Morrow Transplants, he has now been recommended a third BMT in April, the estimated cost of which is Rs. 25 Lakhs.
Jagdish is the sole-earning member of the family with 3 dependents, his mother, wife and one year old son. Please donate generously to ensure that he is able to get the treatment that he requires.
17 year old Jay Thakker was first diagnosed with T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in 2008. He has recently suffered a relapse and is now under the care of Dr Sameer Tulpule at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai.

Shanu is 15 years old and is undergoing treatment at Wadia Hospital for Chondroblastic Osteosarcoma. Her left proximal femur and pelvis are involved. Shanu is one of 6 siblings. Her mother is a known case of leprosy but has completed treatment. Her father deserted the family when Shanu fell ill. Her treatment will be in the form of Chemotherapy followed by surgery and then Chemotherapy again. The duration of the treatment will be one year. The cost of the chemo is expected to be Rs. 30,000 per month for the drugs, investigations and blood products. She has already received one cycle and is doing well as an in patient at Wadia Hospital under the care of Dr. Sangeeta Mudaliar.
However her surgery is expected to cost Rs. 1.5 lakh. Your generous donation can help her receive the required treatment.
After undergoing first line treatment, he recently relapsed and has now been advised a Bone Marrow Transplant under the care of Dr. Revathi Raj at Apollo Speciality Hospital, Chennai who has successfully treated many such cases including Revathy in 2008 who was supported by CPAA. Chemotherapy for one month according to UK protocol ALLR3 and then stem cell transplant will cost 5 lakhs over a period of 6 months.
The family, consisting of his father, mother and ailing grandmother are already overburdened with treatment costs incurred so far. Please donate generously and help save the life of this promising young boy.
42 year old Uma Patra was diagnosed with
Classical Hodgkin Lymphoma in April 2014. She is under the care and
treatment of Dr Shilpa Bhartia at the Subodh Mitra Cancer Hospital
Kolkata. Though she completed a course of Chemotherapy & Radiation,
she has suffered a relapse and she has been advised Autologous Bone
Marrow Transplant at Apollo Gleneagles Hospital Kolkata. The
estimated cost of treatment is approximately Rs. 10 Lakhs.
